During the last decade she continued her different work commitments adding another feather to her bow as a senior moderator for Ed Excel. Gradually partial retirement came and she turned her energies to a wide range of activities. She believed in exercise and its health benefits and swam many, many miles over the last decade. She attended Pilates. She built and nourished strong friendships and great camaraderie through the Oddfellows and the Ramblers. My parents saw to fruition great plans for winters in the sun. They bought a villa in Cyprus and have spent the last four years shaping that into a bolt hole to enjoy the rewards that working hard all your life brings. In July 2006 Karen and I were married and we all had shared a great family occasion at Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir. This was closely followed in 2008 by Rosemarie’s first grandchild, Cormac – born to my sister Alex and her partner, Vince. They were lucky enough to have another little boy, Malachy, in July this year. Rosemarie was absolutely delighted by these new additions to the family.
